Getting Close (At the Party)
Getting Close would have been great if it were somewhat longer. I liked it the best. It has all the elements of a contemporary young adult book from humor to sarcasm to emotions and slight misunderstandings.Gabriella is going through a scared-of-permanency phase because according to her, it never lasts long. So better to just end it when going good than when the chances of getting hurt are more later. Whereas, Landon has been left a very confused ex-boyfriend who wants doesn't want to end anything.
In all, I enjoyed reading Getting Close and this one had some realistic things going on.
